1. Download the prebuilt libwebrtc.a from libwebrtc-builder and install it to /usr/local. To compile it yourself instead, follow BUILD_WEBRTC.

2. Prepare the MQTT development library.
   • Follow BUILD_MOSQUITTO to compile mosquitto.
   • Install the lib from official repo [tutorial]. (recommended)
3. Install essential packages

   sudo apt install cmake clang clang-format lld mosquitto-dev libboost-program-options-dev libavformat-dev libavcodec-dev libavutil-dev libswscale-dev libpulse-dev libasound2-dev libjpeg-dev libcamera-dev libmosquitto-dev

4. Install clang-20 and lld-20 (or newer versions). Set them as default using update-alternatives:

5. Install Protobuf compiler (protoc) v33.0 to match the protobuf bundled in libwebrtc.a.

   # Verify installation
   protoc --version  # should print "libprotoc 33.0"

6. Copy the nlohmann/json.hpp to /usr/local/include

   sudo curl -L https://raw.githubusercontent.com/nlohmann/json/develop/single_include/nlohmann/json.hpp -o /usr/local/include/nlohmann/json.hpp

Compile and run複製段落連結

Build on raspberry pi and it'll output a pi-webrtc file in /build.

mkdir build
cd build
cmake .. -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Debug
make -j

Run pi-webrtc to start the service.

./pi-webrtc --camera=libcamera:0 --fps=30 --width=1280 --height=720 --use-mqtt --mqtt-host=<hostname> --mqtt-port=1883 --mqtt-username=<username> --mqtt-password=<password> --hw-accel
